Blue Bonnet Begins: Help and Walkthrough

Posted by SlingBang - October 28th, 2013

FINALLY IT IS DONE!

After 3 months of learning Flixel, programming, and testing, I submitted my first game. It is a prologue of an RPG I made in another language. I may convert it over, depending... So, here I will have an updated information post about this game.

One first note is the game is not Adult content. The 5 sex scenes are, but you'd have to play for a while to come across them. Sadly, there was no way to separate the two in the rating system so hopefully I don't get hated for 'tricking' people with the Adult rating. I actually wanted a Teen rating originally...

TIPS and GAMEPLAY:

Battles: There are 3 attack levels. (Weak: -3HP, Med: -5HP, Strong: -7HP. +- Attack/Defense, *random(0~5))

Each can be used strategically to maximize enemy deaths and minimize you having to heal. The key factor is the final attack only does damage to the player who dies. So, if the Lvl 1 bandit has 10HP and you choose Strong then Weak attack, you should kill him while losing on average 7HP. However, if you choose Weak then Strong, you should kill him while only losing on average 3HP. As the enemies get stronger and you get better weapons/armor this ratio will change, but that is the basics.

HEALING: There are 3 ways you can regain HP in the game and 4 times to increase HP Max.

The first way is to just wait. Every minute not in battle you regain 1HP. This is useful if you just need one more HP to take out an enemy, for example.

The second way is to return to Lucille. Since she is your 'True Love' she'll heal you fully each time you talk to her. Useful if you are close enough to your home village.

The third way is to buy a Chicken at the hotel in Port City. You can only use this in battle. To use it you press 'B' to block instead of attacking and if your HP is <= 30%, you will regain full HP. Note that while blocking, you may lose a point or two from the enemy attack as well. (HP threshold needed to use Chicken: 3/10, 4/15, 6/20, 7/25)

To Increase you Max HP you need to have sex with one of the 5 NPCs in the game. (Excludes Tabitha since she kills you) To do this you need to find the correct Items to get them to have sex. Lucille and April May are guaranteed scores once you find the correct items, Gerald and Jenny are mutually exclusive, meaning you can only get one of them. Tabitha can be made impossible to score with if you choose a certain path. However, if you beat the Ogre and finish the game, all sex animations will become available. (but you won't get medals for them) You can delete your game if you want to try and get a different sex scene and the accompanying medal.

SECRETS:

I also uploaded a picture of the entire map with Items and secrets on my Art page. I'll also add the Sex scene art on this page after enough people play the game, maybe a week or two.

Also, I have included a 4 picture panel showing the locations you can reach with the Mountain Gear (MGear) 1: South of the Castle. Leads to the Fisherman. 2:North of the Castle. Leads to a Gold Nugget. 3: North of your Hometown. Leads to the Seashell. 4: West of the Waterfall. Leads to the Velvet Worms. 5: In the Old Man's Cave. (Not Shown) This one is not really needed anymore. The old man confiscates your MGear and you originally had to go back to Jenny to buy it again, which triggered her Sex sequence. Now you can just give her the Pearls. :)

Please feel free to type any information below that will be useful to me, either for fixing/improving this game or ideas for the next one. Enjoy!
